Ciez, currently researching on technological, economical, and manufacturing viability of using different battery cathode materials, such as LMO, LFP, etc. in Lithium-ion batteries for long term energy storage, to decarbonize electricity- Using PyBaMM and LiionPack (Python modules for battery analysis) to analyze degradation of battery capacities in long term grid battery energy storage systems (BESS)- Evaluating Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS) for each of the different scenarios (Heat Pump use, building type, electrode materials, climate zones, etc.) using BatPac (Argonne National Lab) and data for operations of BESS from NREL.
