About Zackery Pearson
I’m a Senior Commissioning Manager with over a decade of experience driving mission-critical infrastructure and data center projects across the U.S. I got my start in the skilled trades right out of high school. No degree. No shortcuts. Just hard work, curiosity, and a desire to learn from the ground up.Since then, I’ve helped build and lead some of the most complex and high-impact infrastructure projects in the industry. From Tesla’s original Model 3 production line to data centers supporting the future of AI, I’ve worked in the trenches and at the helm, balancing boots-on-the-ground insight with strategic leadership.Currently, I oversee commissioning efforts for a fast-moving AI startup where I was the first hire in my department. I’ve built scalable processes, coached trade partners, supported risk mitigation, and driven project delivery across secret and non-secret campuses. I’m particularly passionate about building teams that communicate effectively, own their roles, and take pride in delivering quality work.Beyond the job, I bring a personal perspective that shapes how I lead. I’m a left leg amputee. That experience taught me resilience, adaptability, and how to navigate challenges most people never see. It also gave me a drive to help others, especially in the trades, find pathways into fulfilling careers.I’m a firm believer in mentorship, skilled labor, and systems that work. Whether I’m optimizing commissioning workflows, walking a jobsite with trades, or talking strategy with leadership, my goal is always the same: deliver results, raise the bar, and leave every project and team better than I found it.

Develop and execute commissioning plans for complex, proprietary infrastructure systems from design through post-occupancy. • Serve as the commissioning authority for Crusoe’s most sensitive and innovative projects — ensuring readiness, safety, performance, and compliance. • Work with cross-functional teams (engineering, hardware, energy systems, construction) to integrate commissioning into the full lifecycle of projects. • Lead FAT/SAT, functional performance testing, and system validation of compute, cooling, power, and safety systems — many of which are custom-built. • Identify gaps in design or execution and implement corrective strategies rapidly. • Establish Crusoe’s internal commissioning standards, processes, and best practices. • Own and evolve documentation processes, punch lists, and final acceptance criteria for infrastructure delivery. • Act as a technical liaison between design teams, trade partners, equipment vendors, and internal stakeholders.
