He has a mix of for-profit and not-for-profit experience, having led parts of revenue cycle integrations for large for-profit and non-profit mergers, a for-profit acquisition of a non-profit health system, and the PE-backed merging of an urgent care system and large physician practice. Zack also had the experience of building and leading the clinical appeals and full-outsource revenue recovery service-lines (including contract modeling, external review, denial prevention, and multiple other nuanced functions) for a large revenue cycle business process outsource vendor.He brings from his prior experiences in engineering and supply chain a very logical approach to problem-solving with particular specialties for: workflow management/development, holding advanced Epic certifications and worked on over 40 different EHRs, EMRs, clearinghouses, and other tools; large team development, having led multiple teams over 200 FTEs; analytics-driven insights and strategic decision-making; and client service orientation, with multiple related awards across four companies. Zack holds several HFMA certifications, including the CHFP, CRCR, and CSMC. He also has Epic certifications in Resolute HB and Claims Management and is soon to sit for the AHIMA CCS institutional coding certification. He obtained his undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech and completed his MBA with a concentration in Healthcare Administration from the University of Cincinnati in early 2022.
