About Zac Acker

I lead in the Workday Post Production Services space, architecting and managing projects in Workday Platform and Product Extensions. My day-to-day lives in Authentication, BIRT, Extend, Integration, Reporting, and Security.I came up through the technical side and still live there. I can spec a complex BIRT, build the calculated fields, troubleshoot the data source, and walk a client through the output without needing a translator. I\'ve worked across enough enterprise clients to know that the gap between \"technically possible\" and \"actually works in production\" is where most projects stall, and that\'s the gap I focus on closing.My approach to leadership is simple: build the people around you, then get out of their way. I coach, I unblock, I set the standard for quality. The goal is always to make myself replaceable, because a team that depends on one person isn\'t a team. It\'s a bottleneck.Outside of work, I write about technology, space, music, film, and sports on my blog. I build iOS apps, maintain a home server lab, and spend too much time reading about astronomy. On weekends you\'ll probably find me watching F1 or college football, or making something in Logic Pro that nobody asked for.I like understanding how systems work, then making them work better. I am notoriously curious.
