Leaving Kansas for Berea College in Kentucky took a leap of faith but opened many doors and started the journey that eventually led to San Diego, California. My adventures in Kentucky included working with the Entrepreneurship for the Public Good program as well as AIDS Volunteers (AVOL) INC. It was from this internship that eventually led to the positions of community outreach coordinator and strategic marketing that was the catalyst for my passion of philanthropy, servant leadership, and marketing/design. As an Enrollment Counselor for the Ken Blanchard College of Business, I was able to advise undergraduate and graduate students, lead team meetings with other professionals in my industry, and work with another non-profit institution. However, after the company became for-profit my duties included giving tours with cohort graduate students on campus and coordinating leadership events which lead to the position of University Liaison in San Diego, CA. For seven years, I was employed with Discover Financial Services within the Customer Experience Offices and worked remotely from Athens, GA. I am currently working for DoorDash as an Independent Contractor and I’m also self-employed with Maddox Mobile Detailing in Athens, GA.
