With over four years of experience in the field of controlled environment agriculture (CEA), I am passionate about growing fresh and local food for communities in urban areas. I have a strong background in plant science, water quality, and critical thinking, and I enjoy applying my skills to optimize production operations, ensure food safety, and overcome challenges. I am currently looking for a new opportunity to join a team that shares my vision of creating a more sustainable and resilient food system.As a Production Manager at Square Roots, I led the daily farm operations, managing campus production plan, plant health, pest and disease management, and order fulfillment. I was accountable for meeting consistent production targets for yield and quality, as well as evaluating and improving efficiency and performance. I worked closely with the Facilities and Sanitation Manager, the Central Team, and other Managers to achieve company-wide goals and communicate progress and feedback. I also handled ordering and inventory management of production supplies, and collaborated with external partners and stakeholders. I learned a lot from this role and contributed to the growth and success of the company until July 2023.
