I have been working in architecture firms since 2015, where I have gained a vast knowledge of design related matters. With my diverse design background and a passion for creating spaces that merge functionality and aesthetics, I am excited about opportunities to contribute to a team setting and the innovative projects that are brought into a firm. Having honed my skills through almost ten years of experience in architectural design, I have developed a keen eye for detail and a deep appreciation for sustainable and user-centered design principles. My experience ranges from K-12, multi-family residential, entertainment (Regal movie theaters), higher education, healthcare, and commercial projects allowing me to grasp the differences of various design challenges and provide creative solutions that resonate with clients\' needs and aspirations. My proficiency in utilizing industry-standard design software and my ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams enable me to contribute effectively from conceptual to construction documentation phases. I excel in translating complex design concepts into clear and comprehensive plans that facilitate seamless communication among clients and consultants. Beyond technical skills, I am dedicated to ongoing professional growth and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in architecture. I look forward to contributing fresh ideas and perspectives to any team while also embracing the mentorship and learning opportunities that are provided.When I am not working, you can find me training on my road bike for future races, weight training at the gym, hiking in the woods, at a yoga studio, cross stitching a fun design and at a local coffee shop talking about cycling. Emphasizing collaboration and communication, King + King is committed to turning client visions into reality while building lasting relationships.Key Responsibilities-Project Leadership: Manage high-complexity projects, overseeing design development, permitting, documentation, and client communication. Lead design charrettes, team meetings, and coordination with consultants, owners, contractors, and subcontractors. Ensure timelines, budgets, and resource allocation are met-Design & Technical Expertise: Develop design concepts through sketches, models, diagrams, and massing studies. Utilize BIM technologies to create 3D models and detailed architectural drawings. Prepare and revise documentation across all project phases, including site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and details. Interpret and apply building codes and regulatory requirements-Team & Client Engagement: Mentor team members, delegate tasks, and foster collaboration. Lead and participate in design critiques, pin-ups, and client requirement meetings. Conduct value analysis and assist with cost estimating. Maintain open communication, present design concepts, and address feedback-Construction & Quality Control: Participate in bidding and negotiation phases, prepare addenda, and coordinate specifications with construction documents. Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs, conduct constructability reviews, and perform site observations. Ensure design excellence through quality assurance and quality control.
