ABOUT ZACK ANDERSON

I have been an experiential leader at multiple institutions, where I have been chiefly responsible for the direction, supervision, and management of varying experiences including school programs, interpretive programming, youth programs, public/family programs, and others. This work is heavily steeped in setting strategic direction, leading a diverse workforce of staff and volunteers, overseeing program creation and implementation, budget handling, program marketing, and liaising with other departments. My work experience has been further augmented through volunteer work as the President of the Alberta Museums Association and Campus Calgary Open Minds Advisory Board where we set strategic direction of those organizations.I am also a top notch interpreter and program leader responsible for educational program delivery. I have almost two decades of experience as an interpreter and program leader. During this time, I have delivered programs to any and every audience from one-on-one to hundreds of people. Successful delivery of these programs has demanded a focus on skills such as public speaking, flexibility, exemplary customer service, and time management. I have also attained status as a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association of Interpretation.Specialties: strategic leadership, program direction, staff mentorship, staff and volunteer management, program research and creation, program marketing, budgeting, liaising with media, interpretive content and display creation, and program delivery.
