About Zach Kisor

Zach Kisor is an accomplished Project Manager (PM) and Campaign Operative. Inaugurated into the first undergraduate PM pilot program at Progressive Insurance, he\'s led both Infrastructure and Application Development efforts with various customers, including internal Progressive employees, tens of thousands of Progressive agents across the county, and recently, mobile native application users enrolling in usage-based insurance (UBI). The success of the program has prompted to Progressive to continue hiring younger PMs into our PMO (~300 employees), creating a unique talent pool to augment traditional staffing.Outside of Progressive, Zach leverages his PM-skillset as a campaign operative, supporting primarily women, LGBTQIA+, and BIPOC candidates for local, county, and state office. In 2020, he helped flip the only Red-to-Blue statehouse seat in the entire legislature as a Dept. Field Director for Representative Monique Smith. He most recently managed Cleveland City Councilwoman Rebecca Maurer\'s campaign, electing the first queer woman to Cleveland City Council in its history, defeating a 16 year incumbent. Both races centered environmental justice as core tenants of the campaign, including the lead epidemic in the Cleveland housing stock, the quality of Lake Erie and its watershed, and the House Bill 6 First Energy scandal, the largest corruption scandal in Ohio political history. Zach is pursuing a Masters of Public Affairs with an emphasis on a just, expedited energy transition and freshwater governance at the Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas.
