About Zachariah Johnson
As a recent graduate from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and minors in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Engineering Sustainability, I’m passionate about solving complex problems and contributing to a sustainable energy future. Through internships at the University of Missouri Power Plant and with Evergy in distribution system design, I gained hands-on experience with power generation and grid infrastructure, which strengthened my interest in energy systems and their role in everyday life.Upon graduation, I moved to Kansas City to join Evergy as an Engineer in the Early Career Development Rotational Program, where I’m building technical expertise and leadership skills across multiple areas of the energy business. Having passed the FE exam, I’m also working toward my PE license to further my growth as an engineer.
