I love to build products that matter and that help organize and make sense of all the chaos in the world.I actively run two websites that I designed and developed:* Bike Insights, a popular bicycle comparison and design analysis website* Everyday Rides, a community social cycling calendar and group management platform that\'s active in Seattle, WAI have helped many companies, small and large, bootstrap and grow using agile methods with fast deployment and customer feedback cycles. My work has been primarily as an individual contributor where I\'ve had the opportunity to take on leadership roles and make an impact on the projects I\'ve worked on. My primary skillsets are in web application design and development, product design, and UX. I thrive in solving problems closer to user interaction so prefer to work on the front end, but am a well versed full stack developer with recent experience running serverless architectures, backend queues, and database design and optimization.My most up to date software expertise is with JavaScript, React, Next.js, Node, and GraphQL. I actively work with AWS using Lambda and SQS for asynchronous task processing and automation.I also have a wealth of experience with Ruby on Rails, cross-platform responsive HTML/CSS, and linux deployment environments.

   Bike Insights provides the global cycling community with independent, data-driven insights about bike design. Our tools make it easy to search for bikes and compare them using powerful yet intuitive resources like our bike-on-bike comparison tool. Bike Insights is a popular website used and shared by many tens of thousands of cyclists, bike shops, bike fitters, and bike brands all over the world. As technical co-founder, I am responsible for all design, development, and deployment.• The site is built upon a massive database of user-submitted bike geometry data, user fit feedback, and specifications which we have robust administration tools for reviewing data quality, managing user-submitted revisions, organizing data from over a thousand brands and tens of thousands of models of bikes, and managing categorization and category analysis.• Bike Insights’ primary feature is an easy-to-use comparison tool with bike-on-bike overlay, the ability to modify component and fit parameters, easily toggle and compare against similar bikes, sizing analysis, design insights, and calculated design and handling metrics. Each design includes several metrics for how each specific size and design of bicycle compares to other sizes of the same bike and to other models of similar size and category.• Comparison features are based on a custom complex system of geometry calculations to cross calculate missing bicycle design attributes that allow us to draw and calculate sizing and handling metrics for almost every design on the site.• Other major features include ElasticSearch-based search tools with automatically-managed updates and pre-processing, personalized bike collections, rider feedback reporting for improving category and sizing metrics, brand-based analytics, category trends, sizing charts, and data management tools for partner brands.• Built with React, Next.js, Semantic UI, Less, Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch, AWS Lambda, AWS SQS
