About Zachary Sturza

I am a junior at Tulane University, double-majoring in Management and Psychology. My journey reflects a blend of leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and a deep-seated commitment to holistic wellness, concentrating on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual pillars. In high school, I worked as a lifeguard and tennis instructor, which introduced me to different facets of the business world. I also spent a significant portion of my extracurricular time at my local YMCA – recruiting many peers to work out alongside me and orchestrating a successful 30-person “Rona Rebound” basketball tournament for my senior project. Since joining Tulane, I’ve made sure to dip my toes in my wide array of interests–I’ve been an intramural Flag Football captain, a Chabad board member, a Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, a Toastmasters club member,(and recently, a ballroom dancer) all since arriving in New Orleans! A defining moment of my college career was becoming a “Founding Father” of the Tau Upsilon Chapter of Alpha Epsilon Pi. After being disappointed with traditional fraternity culture and previously deciding not to engage in Greek life, I took a risk and tried to do it my own way – create a fraternity focused on self-improvement and personal growth initiatives rather than the conventional social aspects. As the “Head Of Recruitment,” I championed the self-improvement concept, and similar to the process of a startup business, recruited other “Founding Fathers” who shared my vision. In just a few weeks after the fraternity’s conception, our chapter raised over and, by the end of the semester, held the highest GPA among all fraternities. Less than a year later, the fraternity now comprises fifty high-achieving men. This project fueled my entrepreneurial spirit and made me realize my innate ability to influence and bring any idea to fruition. This past summer, I was grateful to serve as a Marketing Intern at CohnReznick LLP. There, I crafted persuasive PPT decks for pitches, conducted market research, and gained insights into consumer analytics utilizing a CRM database. I am seeking an HR or Marketing Internship opportunity for the summer of 2024. I remain ambitious to continue expanding my horizons and connecting with professionals across diverse fields.
