Leading the SkillsLab program at Mt. Ararat High School across the river in Topsham is an opportunity to connect with local 9th - 12th grade students and work with them on their path through high school. Some days are basic trail maintenance; some are compass checks and re-painting the blazes. Every day is a chance to walk a few steps with the students and terrific staff at Mt. Ararat High School. Those of you who know me know that working in education was Plan-A going into and coming out of undergrad. You also know that plan shifted on June 15, 2002. I am grateful and glad to have found my way back to working in the local schools.
