About Zachary Henry-Litchliter

Zachary Henry-Litchliter, AIA, is a Knoxville native who earned his Bachelor of Architecture with a minor in Interior Design from Mississippi State University. Over the course of his career, he has worked at nationally recognized design excellence firms, where he gained extensive experience across a wide variety of project typologies, including high-end residential, commercial, and institutional designs. His work has spanned from exploratory design phases to complex site planning and project management, allowing him to develop a diverse skill set that includes both design innovation and technical precision.Currently based in Austin, Texas, Henry-Litchliter is an Associate Architect at A Parallel Architecture, where he leads the design and execution of complex projects that push creative boundaries while responding to unique site conditions and client needs. His portfolio includes projects ranging from expansive estates in the Texas Hill Country to challenging residential sites in the Austin area, each characterized by a commitment to quality, sustainability, and an exceptional client experience.In addition to his professional work, Henry-Litchliter is deeply involved with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) on both local and national levels. He previously served as Mississippi\'s Associate Director and currently holds the role of At-Large Director on the National Associates Committee, where he leads the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (J.E.D.I.) work group. His leadership in this role is dedicated to ensuring that marginalized communities have equitable access to opportunities within architecture and beyond, striving to create a more inclusive and diverse profession.His volunteer efforts and leadership within the AIA have earned him significant recognition, including being named a Mississippi Top 40 Under 40 Professional in 2022 and receiving the AIA Mississippi Emerging Professionals Award that same year. Through his work, both as a practicing architect and a passionate advocate for equity and inclusion, Henry-Litchliter continues to make a lasting impact on the profession and the communities he serves.
