Why do some organizations thrive under pressure while others break down? My take: Organizations struggle when they try to solve complex operational challenges with solutions designed for predictable environments. Borrowing from learning theory, I\'ve found that defining operating environments in terms of \'kind\' and \'wicked\' provides a useful framework for addressing the environment/solution mismatch.My career has uniquely positioned me to help organizations turn strategic thinking into operational reality. I have scaled operations from 4 to 350 people in seven months, generated six figures in annual savings through resource optimization, and led digital transformations across industries. I\'ve managed $6M budgets, led crisis communications, and built operational architecture from scratch in high-pressure environments.My approach focuses on building \'antifragile operations\' — systems that maintain structure while getting stronger under stress, not weaker. Currently, I\'m putting many of these principles into practice as Associate Vice President of Operations and IT Solutions at Nebraska Children and Families Foundation.I\'m particularly drawn to mid-market organizations caught between the agility of startups and the structure of enterprises - companies at strategic inflection points who need sophisticated operations without the overhead of enterprise-level systems.I\'m always curious about how organizations navigate complexity - especially when traditional approaches aren\'t working.
