About Zachary W.
My true interests reside in the efficiency of energy harvesting, management, and storage. I believe there to be a massive potential for the future of renewable and sustainable systems, and I am eager to contribute to the progression of this technology.In my current role, I design comprehensive digital systems for commercial building automation. This includes reverse engineering and retrofitting controls for HVAC, lighting, water, gas, green technology, and building envelopes. Our process results in a higher degree of building comfort, better utilization of mechanical equipment, and most importantly a reduction in building energy consumption.Starting with a strong foundation from my studies at Penn State and continuing with a job I am constantly thrilled to be doing, my deeply rooted passion for the energy field has done nothing but accelerate in growth. I am thoroughly enjoying the present, but in tandem, I am always looking forward to what the future holds.
