In my capacity as a Network Administrator at the 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, I engaged in several key initiatives to enhance network efficiency and reliability. One notable contribution involved creating detailed room layouts to facilitate maintenance and management by clearly illustrating ports. Additionally, I successfully integrated Cisco and Alcatel network devices, ensuring seamless compatibility within the Makin Island ship network.My role extended to providing expert technical guidance in network planning and architecture, demonstrating proficiency in this domain. Moreover, I took charge of reconfiguring and establishing a robust Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) infrastructure at the Wide Area Network (WAN) level.An instrumental achievement was the engineering of a Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) Tunnel, catering to over 400 users, and ensuring swift and uninterrupted connectivity to the existing infrastructure. In line with fostering operational efficiency, I designed and implemented baseline templates for subordinate clients, thereby streamlining the onboarding process and fostering enhanced communication and collaboration across the organization.To uphold network stability and security, I diligently maintained and acquired up-to-date device configurations and updates, thereby safeguarding the continuity of network operations.
