As Assistant Principal at a dual-language elementary school, I lead academic, cultural, and operational systems that ensure every child receives an equitable, high-quality education in both English and Spanish. • Lead and facilitate the Instructional Impact Team (IIT) to drive school-wide academic improvement through data analysis, coaching, and aligned instructional practices. • Design and deliver professional learning cycles aligned to school priorities, including literacy (UFLI, Heggerty), bilingual instruction, and standards-based grading. • Conduct classroom observations, coaching sessions, and feedback meetings using Get Better Faster and The Art of Coaching Teams frameworks. • Support teachers in lesson planning, differentiation, and classroom management grounded in equity and inclusion. • Monitor and analyze i-Ready, DIBELS, and Amplify data to guide instruction and intervention. • Build and maintain data systems that track student performance, attendance, and progress across two campuses (ECC & ESS). • Coordinate MTSS structures, ensuring tiered supports for academics and behavior. • Lead cross-campus collaboration for class rosters, coverage plans, and scheduling, balancing ICT, bilingual, and general education needs. • Oversee development of Standards-Based Report Cards and progress monitoring systems. • Partner with the Principal to sustain a positive school culture rooted in the school’s promises to children and families. • Develop routines and responses that support student behavior, attendance, and social-emotional growth. • Coordinate parent engagement initiatives, volunteer projects, and community events. • Co-lead strategic planning for staffing, instructional priorities, and professional growth. • Mentor grade-level leads and emerging teacher leaders. • Collaborate across networks and partner organizations to refine instructional programming and data-driven leadership practices.
