ABOUT ZACHARY YAKUBIK
I am a senior at Boston College, pursuing a concentration in Finance, all while competing as a Division 1 swimmer. My passion for understanding market dynamics began in high school, where I delved into the intricacies of stock market fluctuations. Since my sophomore year of high school, I have been actively involved in stock trading, sharing valuable experiences and insights with my father. As a Wealth Management Intern at Kinecta Federal Credit Union, I had the opportunity to work closely with senior advisors in developing tailored wealth management strategies for high-net-worth clients. My role involved conducting in-depth financial analyses, identifying market trends, and providing data-driven recommendations that contributed to optimizing client portfolios and achieving long-term financial goals. I also supported the transition to a new advisory platform, enhancing the efficiency of client servicing and data management processes. In my role as a Finance and Accounting Intern at SkyBound Entertainment, I collaborated with cross-functional teams to improve the accuracy and clarity of financial reporting. By assisting with data validation, financial projections, and budget reconciliation, I contributed to more informed decision-making processes and the development of strategic financial plans. This experience strengthened my analytical skills and deepened my understanding of corporate finance operations.Being a Division 1 athlete has honed my time management skills, balancing a rigorous 20-hour weekly training schedule with academic commitments. Early on, I realized the importance of maintaining high grades while ensuring my body was well taken care of for optimal performance during training. In addition to my academic and athletic pursuits, I contribute to the community as an Ocean Lifeguard with the Los Angeles County Fire Department. This role involves providing essential aid and executing lifesaving procedures, requiring me to meticulously manage my time during the demanding 40-hour+ workweeks I\'ve maintained since high school. Embracing extended 12-hour shifts has taught me to remain vigilant and focused, even in the face of prolonged hours, showcasing my commitment and dedication to my responsibilities. I am eager to apply the skills and discipline developed through my diverse experiences to future endeavors.
