Head of Edge - I lead a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, cloud engineers, network engineers, architects and PMs. The team and I are pushing the edge further into the field to capture and expose new OT and leverage ML to only backhaul the value add data into our IT estate. Pushing the edge this far into the field brings huge upside and new challenges. Our edge is off grid running on solar meaning that our processors and networking gear need to be optimized and efficient. The team and I look at everything from the power consumption of our embedded electronics to the efficiency of our neural networks and the ML models running onboard.
