About Zachary T. Clark

I currently work as a Solutions Account Manager at Elsevier within their life sciences division. My main responsibility is to manage current subscription along with always hunting for new business. In my pervious role as a Solution Sales Manager, my sole focus was to sell new business deals to current customers. The four products I sell are Reaxys, Embase, PharmaPendium, and EmBiology. This is considered an outside sales position and I travel periodically for work to meet prospects and attend trade shows/conferences. In my previous role, I was Sales Consultant at ACS Publications for 3 years. Their publications division provides online access to the most-cited scientific literature in chemistry, biochemistry, environmental science, and engineering to customers across multiple markets (https://pubs.acs.org/). I worked on our corporate sales team which works primarily to renew and grow the business of our existing customers while simultaneously prospecting and closing new business. My territory included all of the US and Canada. Before taking my current role at ACS Publications, I transitioned from CAS (a division of the American Chemical Society) where I worked as an Information Scientist for five years. Prior to this position, I worked as a co-op at CAS for a year where I essentially worked in the same role. During my tenure at CAS, I\'m most proud of the fact that I helped found a Young Professionals Group. This group focuses on providing career development, volunteer, and social opportunities for individuals in the early parts of their careers. I graduated with my MBA at Franklin University in May of 2020 and graduated with a Bachelor\'s Degree in Chemistry from The Ohio State University in 2015. I spent the first two years of my undergraduate chemistry experience at Saint Vincent College (SVC) where I played on the Men\'s Lacrosse team and was a resident assistant (RA) my sophomore year. From there, I transferred to OSU to finish my chemistry degree. I have miscellaneous work experience including a recent position as an Event Coordinator with the Columbus Young Professionals (CYP). I\'ve also worked as a high school and middle school Boys\' Lacrosse referee for the Ohio High School Athletics Association (OHSAA) in the Columbus area. I predominantly officiated Varsity and Junior Varsity games during the spring season. I\'ve also served as President for the CAS Men\'s Golf League for four seasons. Our league consists of current and retired ACS and CAS employees who play golf on Monday afternoons during the spring and summer.
