ABOUT ZACHARY I.

I recently graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Animal and Veterinary Science. With a strong background in veterinary medicine spanning over seven years, I have acquired valuable practical knowledge and insights.My enthusiasm for comparative and translational medicine has fueled my interest in pursuing research opportunities. I am eager to expand my knowledge and passion in this field, particularly in translational research. I am deeply committed to making a meaningful impact in veterinary medicine and aspire to become a Veterinary Surgical Oncologist. My ultimate goal is to advance our understanding of cancer biology and contribute to developing innovative treatments in comparative oncology.In addition to my academic pursuits, I have initiated the Veterinary Immersion Plan, an innovative initiative designed to support undergraduate students in their journey toward a career in veterinary medicine. This program aims to provide aspiring veterinary professionals with the necessary resources and guidance to overcome barriers they may encounter. The Veterinary Immersion Plan empowers students to successfully navigate their educational and professional paths by fostering a harmonious passion for veterinary medicine.
