ABOUT ZACHARY HERTZ
I am a political science researcher available for independent political consulting with experience in social science research, political consulting, and data analysis. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student studying political science at UC Berkeley. In my academic research, I use large-scale voter and census data to study the intersection of race, ethnicity, voting behavior, and mass political behavior through a quantitative analytical lens. In addition to my academic research, I have worked on independent political consulting for a number of clients including Groundwork Project, Data for Progress, and others. I previously worked as a Polling Analyst at Data for Progress. I hold a MA with a concentration in Quantitative Methods and Social Analysis from the University of Chicago and a BA in Political Science from Tufts University. I previously worked in communications and as a student journalist. I have an extensive background in writing and editing, including experience as a reporter and executive editor for The Tufts Daily. I’m also effective at developing content for print, audio, video, and social media.
