ABOUT ZACH RAWLINGS
Trauma leaves a lasting imprint, but healing is possible. As a clinical psychologist, I specialize in helping individuals—particularly gay and queer men—move beyond the effects of trauma, abuse, and emotional wounds to reclaim their sense of self and well-being. My work is deeply rooted in evidence-based treatment, affirming care, and a commitment to creating a space where healing happens. For years, I’ve worked in nonprofits, hospital settings, and research initiatives, including collaborating with Yale University to develop evidence-based treatments for LGBTQ+ individuals facing depression, anxiety, and identity-related stress. My practice is especially focused on the unique mental health needs of gay and queer men, from intimacy struggles and internalized shame to relationship challenges and emotional expression. My writing on mental health, trauma, and gay/queer identities has been featured in The Huffington Post, Vice, and The Good Men Project, helping expand conversations around emotional well-being and self-acceptance. I’m passionate about breaking the silence around trauma and guiding others toward real transformation, especially those who have never had their experiences fully understood or affirmed.
