   My practice is focused on environmental, water, and natural resources law, both in litigation, administrative, and transactional contexts. I have been counsel in several major, cutting-edge lawsuits in the environmental and water law areas in both federal and state courts, including Colorado Water Courts. I have also overseen several major remedial actions and brownfield redevelopments and have been involved in a number of major water rights changes and related transactions. I have extensive experiencing in permitting, auditing compliance, and handling enforcement actions for oil and gas, mining, water projects, ski areas, power plants, wind, solar and other renewable energy generators, and similar operations, particularly on western public lands. Prior to joining DGS in 1981, I worked as Special Counsel for the Assistant Secretary for Indian Affairs and in the Solicitor\'s Honors Program at the U.S. Dept. of the Interior in Wash, DC
