ABOUT ZACH MARSHALL
Starting with a 2013 Bachelors Degree in Criminal Justice, I always knew I wanted to be in a position to help people. I knew that I had the drive and ambition necessary to discover those minute details that could be used to crack a case and find the bad guy. After a few years of working in that industry, I wanted more. I joined the Air National Guard and trained into a system administration role.The exposure of deploying with the Air National Guard and training alongside some amazing professionals opened my eyes to a broader view of security and law enforcement. I found my passion: cyber security. From 2016, on, I started immersing myself in IT and gaining the experience I would need to become a cyber security professional. In 2017, I was given the opportunity to work in a security operations center and to leverage those skills I had built up to this point. There, I have had the privilege to work as a Fusion Threat Analyst, an Advisory Security Operations Center Consultant, and lastly as a Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst. These roles only served to excite me more about this industry and gave me the opportunity to mentor junior professionals and peers, so I may share that excitement. Now, as before, my ambitions have stayed the same. The only difference is, today, I am finding the cyber bad guy and helping my clients to defend against the incalculable number of threats present in the cybersphere. Now, over a decade later, I have earned a second Bachelors Degree in Security Management as well as having earned my Masters Degree in Cyber Security and Information Assurance. Additionally, I now serve as an RSM Defense Service Delivery Manager, wherein I serve my clients from a higher level; steering towards favorable outcomes, assisting clients with ad-hoc RFIs, and reporting on the successes our team have garnered in the field.
