   I am a senior attorney in Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher\'s San Francisco office, and a member of the firm\'s White Collar Defense and Investigations, Securities Enforcement, Litigation, Latin America, and Transnational Litigation and Private Equity practice Groups.I represent multinational corporations as well as individuals in internal investigations and enforcement actions before government agencies. I have led diverse teams of lawyers and consultants in conducting investigations, including those initiated by the DOJ, SEC, FTC, OIG, State Attorneys General, and a number of international regulators in Europe and Latin America. In addition, I regularly advise corporations on the design, implementation, and ongoing assessment of compliance programs, with a particular emphasis on compliance with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption laws. I have conducted fieldwork throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa, and regularly conduct international investigations, due diligence, and compliance-program evaluations on behalf of clients across the globe. I am fluent in Spanish and regularly use Spanish in professional contexts on behalf of my clients.I also devote a significant portion of my practice to high-stakes, complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on multi-jurisdictional, transnational disputes. I represent clients in a broad range of commercial litigation and disputes and am experienced in all phases of litigation—from motion practice and e-Discovery to trials and appeals—in state and federal courts across the country.I also have extensive experience advising corporate and private equity teams on compliance- and litigation-related due diligence and risk-mitigation issues related to the transactions. I have conducted compliance- and litigation-related due diligence on dozens of transactions for all types of clients—including mergers, asset acquisitions, stock purchases, debt and equity financings, and spin offs.
