About Zach Koutsky
With over a 18yr in progressive politics and grassroots organizing, I bring a robust network and set of experiences leading legislative strategy and building cross-sectional coalitions to affect progressive change. I founded Berteau Consulting, a Chicago-based boutique government relations and political advocacy firm, to provide creative and specialized client solutions for policy and political challenges in Chicago, Illinois, and nationally. Having worked and led campaigns at all levels of government and serving as a political and legislative strategist for a member labor union, I have had the unique opportunity to learn quite a bit about coalition development and advocacy, working with data and integrating it into policy and political engagement, and deploying robust and blended communications strategies. With deep ties to city, state, and federal government, I provide regulatory and legislative lobbying, coalition development and leadership, strategic insight, political advocacy, and policy analysis for clients. Each project is unique and requires an individualized approach to achieve it\'s goals and Berteau Consulting will leverage it’s connection to elected officials, community leaders, and activists and fully integrate our unique experiences and experience with your team to leverage strengths, minimize weaknesses and deliver results.
