1st Gen is an LA based event company that produces house music events all over the United States, including a few international events. My work involves producing the Nashville events including everything from building the marketing team and strategy to designing and hiring production for the events to executing the events and making sure that they run successfully. On top of my work as the event coordinator, as Lead of Music Operations, I am responsible for the curation of the DJ line ups for our events, finding and booking DJs who are not only proficient at their craft but also align with our mission at 1st Gen, and I am also the DJs point person day of event for any last minute rider or guest list changes as well as making sure the DJs make it to the stage on time.

ABOUT ZACH BRILL
I am a class of 2026 student athlete, competing in cross country and track, and majoring in Music Business with an emphasis in Live Event Management at Belmont University. I am currently a studio engineer at JD SOUND recording studio as well as the Nashville Event Coordinator and Lead of Music Operations for 1st Gen. I am looking to dive deeper into the music industry when I graduate, working in live event production.My love for music started at a young age when I was introduced to the piano. I then progressed into making my own music, primarily in the Electronic Dance Music genre, and continue to do that in my free time, as well as DJing clubs and festivals under my own EDM artist project \"Xtnct\". I hope that my degree in Music Business from Belmont can help excel my career in the music industry.
