ABOUT YVONNE HODGSON
I am an experienced and competent commercial professional, with over 20 years experience in the construction industry, across a multitude of sectors. Starting off as trainee surveyor for Taylor Woodrow. Working mainly on multi million pound works in the public sector; including Defence Estates, PFI and Rail projects. Many of the works were in live premises and included heritage constraints. I am self motivated and manage my own time effectively, but work well as part of a team. I am ambitious and enjoy a challenge, as well as setting and achieving new goals. I enjoy mentoring others, assisting them in realising their strengths; and giving a helping hand in the areas in which they struggle.I am client focused and work hard to build and maintain good working relationships. I have knowledge of working on JCT, PPC, ACA and NEC contracts, considerable knowledge of Sub-contract management; and being commercially minded means I am always looking for the best deal and can negotiate well with Sub-Contractors and clients alike. I am used to working to tight deadlines and am keen that procedures are followed regardless of pressure from others to cut corners. Working in live premises ensures good communications with the client is critical.
