   Teach self-contained general education mathematics, reading, science, social studies and writing using Everyday Math, Harcourt Storytown, Mc-Graw-Hill Social Studies and Foss Science. • Data driven instruction based upon ISAT, three NWEA Common Core MAP assessments administered throughout the year, and biweekly Chicago Public Schools ARS itemized reading, math, and science assessments. • Using the NWEA MAP assessment, students achieved fall to spring RIT gains of 58% in reading and 79% in math. • Develop and implement individualized Common Core aligned learning centers daily, based upon each reading and math deficiencies. • Implemented my own positive behavior management system within the classroom. • Daily collaboration with special education teachers and administration in order to achieve academic success among all developmental learners. • Work daily with small tier II and groups for RTI instruction. • Initiated innovative school-wide activities to promote interest and learning. • Yearly recipient of the Chicago Foundation for Education Grant. • Administered biweekly assessment portfolio which assess student’s abilities and performance. • Counsel students and parents to resolve learning and behavioral deficiencies. • Participated in Individual Education Plan Meetings. • Utilized Scantron and ISAT itemized data to drive instruction. • Created differentiated lesson plans and developed learning centers. • Mentored first year teachers and coached second year teachers.
