Achievements: Successfully lived car-free since the early 1990s - 2022 [drives an all-electric car now]; Old Town Commercial Association Business Partner of the Year 2017; Nominated for the Tri-County Environmental Leadership Award 2014; Volunteer of the Year (four-way tie) for Mid-Michigan Environmental Action Council, 2012; Recognized by the City of Lansing in 2007 for organizing the Drawdown Cleanup (river cleanup project that brought together over 200 volunteers to remove 30 tons of trash from the Grand and Red Cedar Rivers on one Saturday in August); Co-founded/coordinated a \"Green Team\" in the Grand Tower that successfully encouraged office paper recycling and became a model of profitability used by other buildings around the State; Member, Red Cedar Friends Quaker Meeting (two-time Publications Editor, Convenor for Nominating Committee, Meeting Librarian); Editor-in-Chief and photographer for the Mg News, Initiator/coordinator of the annual Talent Show (scholarship fundraiser) 19••••87, Marygrove College Chorale European Tour participant.
