Create high-quality, relevant and accessible written content on RTC’s website on topics ranging from technical guidance on building & maintaining trails to emerging issues such as integrating diversity, equity and inclusion within the trails movement and the impacts of COVID-19 on trail use. • Conduct primary and secondary research on topics of interest to trail professionals and RTC’s membership, including interviews, online research, and archival research. • Maintain RTC’s authoritative database of trails data and report, analyze and interpret trails data for internal and external uses including staff reports, presentations, coalition meetings, legal briefs, advocacy, print media, and for use by local, state and federal agencies. • Provide technical assistance to organizations and individuals on questions around trail development including navigating complex regulatory processes. • Train other technical assistance staff on use of database software, as well provide resources and best practices to help them provide support and information to organizations and individuals working to build trails in their communities. • Organize and present at webinars with roles including, selecting topics, recruiting and preparing speakers, providing technical support on GoToWebinar and Zoom and occasionally, presenting.
