Appointed by the Chief Justice of California and the Presiding Judge of San Diego County in 2012 to the Appellate Division hearing limited civil and misdemeanor criminal appeals through December 2015. Served in Juvenile Court Dependency department (neglected/abused children) from 20••••10 and felony/misdemeanor criminal trial department in the South County Division (Chula Vista, CA) from 20••••07. Have presided over thousands of criminal cases, civil harassment cases, limited civil matters, small claims cases and small claims appeals, as well as unlawful detainers (landlord/tenant), debtor/creditor matters. Appointed by California Governor Gray Davis October 2, 2003. Re-elected 2006, 2012, 2018, and 2024.
