The introduction of end-point assessment (EPA) is one of the most significant changes in the apprenticeship reforms. It replaces the existing (SASE framework) model of continuous assessment resulting in qualifications. When an apprentice has completed their apprenticeship, their employer will approve them to move forward to the end-point assessment of their knowledge and practical skills. To understand what the end-point assessments look like for the standards you are interested in, you will need to read each assessment plan. This information can be found on the Government\'s Apprenticeship Standards webpage. Skillsfirst Assess has been approved as an End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) My key roles within Skillsfirst Assess are as Head of Assessment Services (Business Sector) to manage the Lead Independent End Point Assessor (LIEA) and the Independent End-point Assessor (IEA). Ensuring that the strategic plan for Skillsfirst Assess is carried out in a managed and timely way. To ensure all EPA’s are fit for purpose and robust, whilst meeting the individual assessment strategy for each apprenticeship standard. Take responsibility for ensuring the quality assurance of both the Situational Judgement Assessments (SJA’s) and the Non-Situational Assessments (NSJA’s) whilst meeting Skillsfirst Assess requirements in accordance with our Risk and Incident Management Policy and Sampling Strategy.
