ABOUT YVETTE FREAKE
With over two years of experience as the EY Ripples Corporate Responsibility Coordinator for the Canada region, I am passionate about creating positive change in our communities through meaningful partnerships and collaborations with non-profit organizations and impact entrepreneurs. I lead and coordinate various volunteer initiatives and events across the country, engaging and supporting colleagues from diverse service lines and backgrounds. My academic and professional background has equipped me with a unique blend of skills and expertise in sociolinguistics, communications, analysis and teaching. I hold a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Sociolinguistics from York University, and designed and instructed a second-year course on the topic at the University of Calgary. My research and teaching experience has enhanced my ability to construct intricate narratives and communicate effectively across diverse audiences. I am also fascinated by the world of video games, artificial intelligence and interactive storytelling, and how they can be leveraged for social good and innovation. I am always eager to continue to learn and explore new possibilities, and I welcome any opportunity to connect and collaborate with others who share my vision and values.
