ABOUT YVETTE FREAKE
As the Impact Programs and Communications Manager at EY, I lead strategic initiatives within the EY Ripples program, driving sustainability and social impact across Canada. Leveraging my experience in corporate social responsibility and the social sciences, my mission revolves around driving positive change through strategic collaborations with companies, non-profit organizations, entrepreneurs and communities. My academic and professional background has equipped me with a unique blend of skills and expertise in communications, strategic planning, research and analysis. I hold a Ph.D. and an M.A. in Sociolinguistics, and designed and instructed a second-year course on the topic at the University of Calgary. My research and teaching experience has enhanced my ability to construct intricate narratives and communicate effectively across diverse audiences. I am also fascinated by the world of video games, artificial intelligence and interactive storytelling, and how they can be leveraged for social good and innovation. I am always eager to continue to learn and explore new possibilities, and I welcome any opportunity to connect and collaborate with others.
