   I built a data engineering team from the ground up to create compliant heterogeneous enterprise knowledge graphs to power various AI scenarios for hundreds of millions of Microsoft Office 365 users. Microsoft Viva is an employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights in the flow of work. My team builds Viva topic backend that automatically mines petabytes of emails, calendar items, documents and Teams messages, and utilizes Big Data and ML technologies to cluster and aggregate tenant level knowledge and seed a knowledge graph with multiple types of entities such as people, topics, documents, SharePoint sites, Groups, etc. The graph powers several ranking and relationship inferencing scenarios for Viva Topics and other Office 365 products. In the past 2 years, my team has resolved various scalability issues on the Big Data platform and improved the performance of the Big Data pipelines by 6X which results in projected $25M hardware savings for the next fiscal year.
