About Yuvaraj Krishnamoorthy

An experienced public health researcher and clinician specializing in research, capacity building and evidence synthesis, I focus on translating high‐quality evidence into global health guidelines, especially in environmental exposures, infectious diseases, and noncommunicable disease prevention. I hold MD in Community Medicine from JIPMER, Puducherry, completed FAIMER Fellowship in Health Professions Education from PSG FRI, Coimbatore and completed India Health Policy and Systems Research (HPSR) Fellowship from HSTP, New Delhi. I am currently leading Evidence Synthesis Unit at PROPUL Evidence LLP, overseeing systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and policy-relevant research. I have served as Principal Investigator and Project Lead for several guideline development group (GDG) projects focused on clinical care. Additionally, I have led over 20 national and international projects funded by organizations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), ISID/BMGF, ICMR, and TNHSRP, concentrating on evidence synthesis, operational, and implementation research aimed at improving health systems and patient care. These scientific efforts have resulted in the publication of 140+ research papers in national and international peer-reviewed journals.I have been recognized among the “World’s Top 2% Most Cited Scientists” for four consecutive years (2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025). I have received numerous national and international accolades, including the Emerging Voices for Global Health (EV4GH) 2022, Young Scientist Award from the Epidemiology Foundation of India for my work on developing predictive algorithm to identify tuberculosis patients at higher risk of mortality, the Best Researcher Award from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. University, and the Dr. R.N. Roy Award from the Indian Public Health Association for my operational research on patient safety in public health facilities in Tamil Nadu.I have been resource person/speaker for nearly 100s of national and international workshops and conferences and trained nearly participants in various aspects of basic and advanced research methodologies. I also holds editorial roles in various national and international journals. I am currently serving as Member of WHO Technical Advisory Group on Economics for Environment, Climate Change and Health (TAG-EconECH). I was a member of the Central Public Health Team for COVID-19 control in Tamil Nadu, India and served as advisory committee member or expert across various international and national grant committees for agencies such as Wellcome Trust, DBT-BIRAC, RSTMH, etc,
