ABOUT YUSUF CIFTCI
Experienced campaigner and researcher for migrant and refugee rights, specialising in coproduction and engagement with people with lived experience of the UK asylum and migration system. After 4 years of working in the charitable sector, I founded Experts by Experience Employment C.I.C. to help establish leadership pathways for experts by experience (refugees and migrants) through equitable employment.Using my coproduction expertise and community leadership skills, I worked with the National Health Advisors group at Doctors of the World UK to promote access to healthcare for everyone, regardless of immigration status. I am now heading up refugee involvement at Refugee Council. Always happy to talk about lived experience leadership and meaningful refugee involvement.
