At Best Way Logistics, I hold a multifaceted role that combines safety compliance, ELD management, human resources, and software development. As the Safety Coordinator, I’m responsible for maintaining up-to-date driver qualification files, monitoring violations, managing DataQs, and ensuring our operations meet all FMCSA and DOT compliance standards.As an ELD Specialist, I oversee all electronic logbook operations, ensuring driver logs are accurate and compliant with Hours of Service (HOS) rules. I troubleshoot ELD device issues, assist drivers with technical training, correct log errors, and manage violation tracking to ensure clean DOT records.On the HR side, I lead the full hiring cycle for new drivers, including screening applicants, conducting interviews, running background checks, and processing onboarding paperwork. I also conduct in-depth orientation sessions for new hires, walking them through company policies, safety protocols, and logbook usage to ensure a smooth start and long-term retention.In addition to these responsibilities, I’m also the lead developer and architect of our in-house TMS (Transportation Management System). I designed and built the Yuriance TMS platform to streamline our day-to-day operations—centralizing fleet tracking, driver management, repair history, vacation scheduling, inventory, and more into a single, efficient system. I continue to maintain and upgrade the system, customizing it based on real feedback from office staff, dispatchers, and safety managers to meet the unique needs of our logistics operation.
