About Carrie Yang
I’m a product design leader with a decade of experience designing complex, systems-driven products, from electric vehicles at Lucid Motors, to hand-tracking at uSens, to immersive VR at Oculus.My work spans product strategy, systems thinking, interaction design, and design leadership. I’m drawn to both 0→1 and scaling challenges, from defining foundational product direction to evolving systems over time. In both, I focus on creating structure that enables long-term coherence, not just solving the problem in front of me.I’ve led design across in-car and mobile experiences, platform-level frameworks, and cross-functional initiatives, partnering closely with product, engineering, program, and research. I build cohesive, scalable systems and turn complexity into experiences that feel clear, intuitive, and useful.As a leader, I mentor designers, advocate for their growth, and invest in how teams work together, not just what they produce.I’m currently building Unfolding, a contemplation app for intentional living, designing and developing the product end-to-end with AI as a core development tool.Beyond work, meditation and mindfulness are daily practices that keep me grounded and reflective. I find inspiration in podcasts, film photography, movies, art, travel, and the quiet ways people make meaning in everyday life.
