About Yundi Lin

I am a passionate, self-motivated engineer with experience in the automotive industry, especially in areas pertaining to the internal combustion engine and product quality. I have lead multiple projects to identify and troubleshoot product quality issues, saving the company a total of repair labor hours per year. In addition, using Six Sigma and project management skills, I have successfully lead 2 Six Sigma projects that identified a total savings of per year for the company. I have also worked in a customer-facing engineering role, where I helped one of the largest construction machinery companies in China break into the US market by successfully integrating their machine with Cummins heavy-duty diesel engines. In addition, together with the account manager, I formed part of the global support team for the prior-mentioned customer, providing and identifying suitable resources to solve their problems in all parts of the world.Currently, I am looking for opportunities that will suit my current skills in mechanical engineering and project management, with potential growth towards product or program management. I am open to relocating to other areas of the US.

   Team lead for Battery Energy Storage (ESS) quality team in CATL USA - Designated responsible projects for 6 team members, according to their capabilities and geographical areas. Adjust workloads according to projects demands or increasing levels of proficiency- Guided team members in their work by providing assistance in difficult-to-manage situations, providing constructive feedback on their work, and occasionally leading high-priority projects - Managed inter-team communication by fostering an open environment for teams to share their experiences when facing similar issues, improving team’s overall efficiency- Escalated team member’s roadblocks to upper management or other functions, through use of effective communication and efficient meetings- Created monthly reports for management, high-lighting every team member’s contribution to the business and increasing visibility for members to the managementBattery Energy Storage (ESS) quality engineer- Lead troubleshooting teams at ESS site to diagnose issues with ESS batteries. Create 8D reports (up to 4th D) for 8D project team to solve the field issues.
