A multilingual professional (Native in Korean, Fluent in English and French, Conversational in Mandarin Chinese, Elementary in Arabic and Russian) with demonstrated history of working in one of the highest political administrations, international organizations, and legislative organs (United Nations Human Rights Council, UK House of Commons, and New York State Assembly).I regularly mentor young professionals and students, especially young people who are first generation immigrants, children of incarcerated parents, and children of single-parent households. I understand challenges they may face on academic, professional, and personal levels. Although I come from two educated parents, my educational challenges emanated from with the fact that I grew up with single mother in Seoul & Ilsan, South Korea. She was a TV set designer and adjunct professor of prestige universities. I had to overcome unique challenges to be on a path that was contextually distinct from my native culture and language. I was not one of those children who had a dream of becoming a lawyer. Instead, my childhood was surrounded by TV and film sets, thematic parks, and museum exhibitions.Before becoming a lawyer, my dynamic work experience spanned from theater, televisions, business consulting, project management, and foreign language interpretations; I have accumulated a wealth of experience in leadership positions for student-run journal publications, small business management, strategic management of creative projects, human rights advocacy, and political organizations. I have had the privilege of working internationally.
