About Yukta Baskar
Hey guys! I\'m Yukta, here\'s a bit about myself! I am passionate about advancing regenerative medicine and exploring the transformative potential of stem cell research in therapeutic interventions and in vitro disease modeling. I was selected as a Summer Research Fellow through India\'s prestigious fellowship program, INSA, at LV Prasad Eye Institute, where I delved into the fascinating realm of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs). I did a project on the screening of mutation in exon 6 of hPAX6 gene which is related to the anterior segment dysgenesis in the eye. I am currently focused on elucidating biomarkers for the early detection of neurodegenerative disorders through a review paper. I am thrilled to be an upcoming Mitacs Globalink Research Intern at the Ontario Veterinary College (University of Guelph). Here, I will be studying the importance of peripheral nerves in wound healing and regeneration. Eager to collaborate, innovate, and contribute to the frontier of regenerative medicine.
