ABOUT YUGANTAR GERA
I am a physics major with experience in using computational tools to model neural activity. I am currently a Postbaccalaureate Fellow in the Neuronal Ensembles in Addiction Section at the National Institute on Drug Abuse. I work alongside a postdoc to train rats on operant behavioral tasks, perform image analysis for activity markers, and identifying molecular alterations in activated neurons using single-cell analysis techniques. I wish to pursue a PhD to investigate cellular and molecular alterations in ensemble neurons during maladaptive drug-reward behaviors.
