As a Quality Control Engineer at LTS Research Laboratories, Inc, I have been responsible for inspecting, testing, reporting, and auditing raw materials in various shapes, sizes, and forms for optical and optoelectronic use since 2019. I have communicated with suppliers to scale up the synthesis process of new materials and to ensure they meet the quality requirements of chemical purity, form, and size. I have also analyzed the particle size, morphology, and phase purity of materials using high-end equipment such as Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Laser Diffraction Particle Size Distributor (PSD). I have reviewed the chemical purity through analysis of trace elements via Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS) and Glow Discharge Mass Spectroscopy reports. I have documented all relevant details through the creation of quality control (QC) reports and certificates of analysis (COA). I participated in the audit, adjustment, and updating of in-stock material in QuickBooks, which led to a decrease in the order fulfillment process and an improvement in the cross-functional management of data. My core competencies include laboratory skills, manufacturing, assembly drawings, data analysis, and quality assurance. I have a Master of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from Columbia University in New York City, where I gained hands-on experience synthesizing, characterizing, doping, and scaling up various materials. I am passionate about applying my knowledge and skills to improve the quality and performance of materials for optical and optoelectronic applications.
