About Yuantai Wei
As a software engineer with a bachelor\'s degree in computer science and engineering from SUSTech and a master\'s degree in computer science from Rutgers in progress, I have a strong background in developing and testing user interfaces for complex applications. During my Internship at Ansys, I worked for the Digital Twins BU, where I contributed to providing experimental browser mode support for our desktop application (Electron) and designing and implementing file IO related workflow for browser mode. I also gained valuable experience in UI E2E testing and multiplatform support, using tools such as Selenium and Playwright. I am passionate about continuously learning new technologies and tools to improve coding efficiency and stay ahead of the curve. I have a solid understanding of C++, Java, Python, and JavaScript, and hands-on experience working with AWS and CI. I also have multiple projects and code samples on GitHub that demonstrate my skills, such as operating systems, compilers and web applications. My goal is to apply my knowledge and skills to create innovative and user-friendly solutions that solve real-world problems.

Full-stack Engineer in the Digital Twins team- Participate in upgrading the previous schematic editor with a new schematic using the X6 library, adapt deployment, library, simulation-related workflow, and FMU composer to the new schematic- Upgrade legacy frameworks that have critical security vulnerabilities to up-to-date ones. Including upgrading from NodeJS 14 to 22, Vue 2 to Vue 3, electron v9 to electron v36, Quasar v1 to v2- Participate in the setup of E2E testing with Playwright, modify api gateway encryption/decryption mechanism to skip download and upload requests to bypass the Playwright limitation for testing the Electron native APIs- Integrate visualization for ROM (Reduced Order Model), which uses Vtk.js. Enable WebSocket connection between frontend and backend for VTK remote rendering.
