About Yuang Chen
I am currently pursuing a Master degree in Real Estate in Cornell University. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor degree in Finance with a GPA of 3.943 out of 4.0 and received Summa Cum Laude honor. During my previous work experiences at real estate private equity firms, I developed deep interest and skills in fund investment and management, potential deals underwriting, and debt financing underwriting within the real estate investment platform. Having interned as a Portfolio Management Analyst in Amherst Holdings and as an Acquisition Analyst in Presidium Group in Dallas, I worked extensively with Excel to construct fund valuation models, to perform NOI attribution, geographic, and tenant demographic analysis, and to screen and underwrite multiple residential property acquisition projects in Dallas and Texas. In addition, I am currently working as a research assistant at Johnson Business School at Cornell University and also worked as a research assistant at Mays Business School in Texas A&M University. Thanks to my research experience, I am proficient at STATA, SQL, and MATLAB and possess a high level of analytical thinking skills. I want to pursue positions related to asset management/acquisition/portfolio management/investment analyst in the future and am striving to be a creative thinker and problem solver in these fields.
