About Vanessa Chen
Hi there! My name is Vanessa Chen. I’m deeply passionate about using analytical methods to uncover meaningful insights and drive data-driven decisions. My programming skills span Python, R, SQL, and Tableau, which allow me to excel in machine learning, statistical modeling, business analytics, and data visualization. My journey in data started with a strong foundation in Economics and Data Science from National Tsing Hua University, and I am currently honing my skills in Business Intelligence and Data Analytics at Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College.During my internships, I tackled a variety of data challenges. At JKO Fintech, I leveraged SQL for automation, created visualizations in Tableau, and performed statistical analyses with R, including logistic regression for user retention. I also refined marketing strategies through A/B testing, optimized budgets with membership tiers, and ensured data consistency through database modifications. What I enjoyed most was collaborating with departments like Marketing, Product, Finance, and Sales, which enhanced my ability to communicate across different fields and understand diverse perspectives. Later on, at KPMG consulting department, I further developed my skills in rapid learning, problem decomposition, and generating actionable insights, thriving on breaking down complex problems and delivering clear, data-driven solutions.I’m currently seeking a summer 2025 internship as a data analyst, data scientist, or data engineer.
